Internal Valves

Internal Valves – also known as emergency valves, shear valves, foot valves – have been designed to minimize the risk in underride collisions. Civacon Internal Valves are engineered with a shear groove that allows the piping to break away cleanly in the event of collision. The valve seat and poppet, however, remain intact so only the liquid in the piping is susceptible to loss.
